ourWorld Basics: Fees on Trades Involving Coins

OGC staff is often asked if there is a fee on coins using the new trading system.  The answer is yes.  The fee, however, isn’t as obvious because of how it is applied.  The person offering the coins puts in the coin offer, but when the other player receives it, the amount reflected is minus the fees.

Here is an example of an offer that includes a coin trade of 10 million coins:

When it appears to the seller in their trade offers, the fee has already been applied and reflects only 8.9 million:

As you can see, OurWorld still takes a fee for coins even in trades.  The rate is the same as for selling.
