The best part of summer is about to begin; if you’re a gamer.

That’s because Summer Games Done Quick begins Sunday July 2nd and runs until July 9th.  The event is a marathon of speedruns broadcasted on Twitch.  Viewers can donate, and the money goes to the charity Doctors Without Borders.  You can view the entire event schedule here (MASSIVE).

ourGemCodes and Donny Pie are excited for the festivities to begin, but we’re especially excited for these games in particular:

1

Halo: Combat Evolved (July 2nd, 2017 @ 12:10 PM)

Donny Pie plays virtual world games like ourWorld, Avakin Life, MovieStarPlanet, and others.  But what people don’t know is Donny Pie prefers to play First Person Shooters and strategy-based games.  Of course, the 2001 Halo game is a must-see speedrun being ran by Garish.

2

Luigi’s Mansion (July 2nd, 2017 @ 5:11 PM)

When Donny Pie was 14, he had a sleepover with all his friends just so we could stay up all night playing Nintendo GameCube.  Believe it or not, Luigi’s Mansion was scary back then.

3

Super Monkey Ball Deluxe (July 3rd, 2017 @ 11:05 AM)

Super Monkey Ball is one of the most amazing games to watch speed ran.  The inputs are super precise, but played at high-speed.  Definitely one you should watch.

4

Jet Set Radio Future (July 3rd, 2017 @ 10:34 PM)

Jet Set Radio Future is punk era in its most honest form.  If you’re a fan of Jet Set, then check out …that one game for xbox one that is amazing…

5

Hollow Knight (July 4th, 2017 @ 6:14 AM)

Although I haven’t personally played Hollow Knight.  This indie game studio seems to be doing things right.

6

Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver (July 4th, 2017 @ 1:37 PM)

Any fans of Pokemon might like this speedrun.  Any percentage and it still a little more than 2 hours to beat!

7

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD (July 5th, 2017 @ 4:16 PM)

For Legend of Zelda fans, this speedrun is estimated to take nearly 4 hours to finish.  Sit back and prepare yourself.

8

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (July 6th, 2017 @ 8:18 PM)

This speedrun will take around an hour and twenty minutes to complete and is done swordless.  Imagine that!  A speedrun without using a sword whatsoever.  This could get interesting.

9

Mega Man 4 (July 7th, 2017 @ 6:01 AM)

Mega Man 4 is the next-generation installment that came with sequels to 6.  Mega Man 1-3 were the originals before they changed a few things.  This should be a fun speedrun to watch.

10

Super Panga World (July 8th, 2017 @ 12:02 PM)

To be honest, DoDeChehedron (the speedrunner of super mario games), is one of my most recent guilty pleasures.  I most recently binge watched him beating the hardest mario games known to man; in record breaking times.  You’ll want to see this!

Will you watch the 2017 Summer Games Done Quick?
