Cuphead is a run and gun indie game that rose to popularity due to the 1930’s cartoonish artwork. Cuphead doesn’t offer anything new to the platforming genre except amazing visuals and challenging levels. There is A LOT to do within Cuphead and different achievements to acquire, like getting 3 stars on all levels.
StudioMDHR started working on Cuphead in 2010, and the studio is only two people, brothers Chad & Jared Moldenhauer. Its stunning 1930s cartoon aesthetic is inspired by cartoonists like Max Fleischer, who created characters such as Betty Boop and Popeye.
Cuphead has made over 20 million dollars so far and cost less than 10 thousand dollars to produce.
